In creating the Laureano Ruiz Soccer Academy Corp, our president and founder, Attila Nyiri, envisions that the game will be given back to its rightful participants, namely all of the children who are interested in playing the game of soccer. Mr. Nyiri believes that the game of soccer is the only sport that does not require special physical qualities such as long arms for boxing, height as in basketball, white muscle fibers for sprinters etc. Without any extra special qualities, but a willingness to work hard, almost any child can become the best player in the world – even if that player is short, fat; one footed and cannot head the ball. This was demonstrated and proven by such superstars as Puskas, Sivori and Maradona.

The Academy was started because there is a need to teach young players the game of soccer according to a set method within an established system.

The joy of the game of soccer has been lost and the frenzy to win, win and win at all cost has taken the ’sport’ out of soccer.

One of the main objectives is to teach the players to play beautifully and learn the value of sport in general and soccer, specifically.

The Academy will fill the vacuum left by other organizations who strive only for titles and accolades and cast away young players through ‚try-outs‚ where the end result is that only the naturally talented players are picked and the rest discarded. With our step by step method, the ultimate goal is to develop top-level players out of all players who come to our doors and who are willing to work toward this goal.

In the Academy Mr. Nyiri will put‚ the Method‚ in place that is designed in conjunction with Mr. Laureano Ruiz. This Method was the cornerstone of winning seven Spanish Youth Titles and developing many world class players, such as Ivan De La Pena, Ivan Helguera, Hristo Stoichkov and working with such players as Johan Cruyff, Johan Neeskens, Juan Carlos and many others. For the past twenty five years, Mr. Ruiz has been the Director of the Escuela Municipal de Futbol Del Santander. The two Academies work hand in hand to create better players who can easily make the transition into any professional and collegiate setting. The two Academies are also launching an exchange program between the United States and Spain. Coaches and players from both entities will train and play on both continents. Mr. Nyiri is the only licensed entity granted rights to use the Laureano Ruiz name.
