Dutchess LRSA – Millbrook is the result of the collaboration between Giorgio Baravalle of play de.MO, Attila Nyiri of LRSA and the Town of Washington.

Open to boys and girls between the ages of 6 to 14 years old (U8 – U14 teams).

Dutchess LRSA – Millbrook is a soccer academy associated with the former FC Barcelona Head Coach, and current Adviser to the Barcelona Youth Academy Laureano Ruiz. It is also affiliated with FC Singen04 of Germany, a steppingstone for all of our graduates between the ages of 16-17, to enter the world of professional European soccer.
At the academy we will employ all the techniques, drills, and methods utilized at FC Barcelona and The Municipal Soccer School of Santander. See Philosophy.
Players at the Dutches LRSA – Millbrook academy will:
- Master ball control and balance, dribbling, good touch, heading ability, the ability to beat a man.
- The understanding and ability to always be involved in the play and begin a specific program designed to strengthen the weaker foot.
Players at the Dutches LRSA – Millbrook academy will also understand all the necessary steps to impeccable ball control.
They will be taught to maximize their soccer knowledge according to their ability and skill levels.

Our aim is to find suitable college and/or professional fits for all of our players by the time they are age appropriate. We believe that anybody can play and excel in the game of soccer, without any extra special properties such as height, weight, reach, etc.
PRACTICE
-
Practice will be held on Wednesdays from 6 to 7:30 pm at and Saturdays from 2:30 to 4 pm at the Town of Washington Pool Field : 3744 Route 44, Millbrook, NY, 12545 thru November.
Beginning November 30th 2011 practices will be held indoor at 1132 Chestnut Ridge Road in Millbrook or, upon notice, at the indoor facilities at LRSA. The arena is not heated so EVERYONE MUST DRESS WARMLY.
IMPORTANT : Upon entering the property please continue straight up the hill. The stables will be on your left. Park and walk thru the center of the stables to reach the indoor arena. And please remember to drive slowly on the property as their are always both children and animals at play.

Players are welcome to join anytime. Coach Attila will be supervising practices.
All players must bring : water, cleats, shinguards and a soccer ball.
All participating players will be required to join Dutchess LRSA with a yearly membership fee that includes practice fees and use of facilities or pay a $10 dollars fee for each session attended.

GENERAL INFORMATION
SESSIONS ARE 1.5 HOURS LONG:
_ 2 training sessions summer, fall and spring per week (wednesdays and saturdays)
_ Option to train 4 days a week during the summer, fall and spring at LRSA academy
_ 2 winter indoor training sessions (location to be determined in Millbrook, but training is available at LRSA academy)
_ Year round indoor /outdoor tournaments (one included with tuition)
_ Fall/Spring League Competition (FOR FULL TIME ACADEMY PLAYER TRAVEL PROGRAM ONLY)

_ Every session is designed to be fun, but challenging at the same time.
_ Players will be asked to express themselves through playfulness.
_ Every session is based on games both individual and small sided.
_ Emphasis is on improving individual technical ability through the Method©
_ Basic elementary movements using agility drills will be used to further correct faults.
_ Tactical instruction for correcting positioning.
_ Tactical and technical drills introduced for perfecting timing.
_ Positions are introduced and duties made clear for all, but still change and play everywhere.
_ Tactical instruction on starting zonal defense.
_ Start and finish off attacks.
_ Asking attackers to play wide as per the Method©
_ Chalk-Talk to demonstrate theoretical aspects using the Method©
_ Video will be watched to understand history and watch stars in action.
