Below you will find a full description of programs offered by the Laureano Ruiz Soccer Academy.
FULL TIME PLAYER PROGRAMS
U-8/U-9 (1 ½ hour sessions)
_ 3 mandatory training sessions fall, spring and summer per week
_ Option to train 4 days a week during the summer, fall and spring
_ 2 winter indoor training sessions per week
_ Fall/Spring League Competition
_ Year round indoor/outdoor tournaments (1 included with tuition)
_ Implementing the Laureano Ruiz Method©
_ Every session is designed to be fun, but challenging at the same time.
_ Every session is based on games both individual and small sided.
_ Emphasis is on improving individual technical ability through the Method©
_ Basic elementary movements using agility drills will be used to further correct faults.
_ Tactical instruction such as correct positioning timing will be emphasized and expected.
_ The 3-a-side system will be introduced.
_ Players will play their games on a 25X15 yard field as per the Method©
_ Goal size will be 3 yards as per the Method©
_ At this age the players do not play in set positions. Everyone plays everywhere.
_ Chalk-Talk to demonstrate theoretical aspects using the Method©
_ Video will be watched to understand history and watch stars in action.

$200 deposit due at registration (non-refundable)

U-10/U-11 (1 ½ hour Sessions)

_ Every session is based on games both individual and small sided.
_ Emphasis is on improving individual technical ability through the Method©
_ Basic elementary movements using agility drills will be used to further correct faults.

_ The 5-a-side system will be introduced.
_ Players will play their games on a 40X28 yard field as per the Method©
_ Goal size will be 4X2 yards as per the Method©
_ Ball size is a small rubber ball.
_ Positions are introduced and duties made clear for all, but still change and play everywhere.
_ Chalk-Talk to demonstrate theoretical aspects using the Method©
_ Video will be watched to understand history and watch stars in action.

U-12/U-13/U-14 (1 ½ hour sessions)

_ Option to train 4 days a week during the summer, fall and spring
_ 3 winter indoor training sessions
_ Year round indoor /outdoor tournaments (one included with tuition)
_ Fall/Spring League Competition

_ Start and finish off attacks.

_ The 7-a-side system will be introduced as per the Method© using a 3-1-2 formation.
_ Players will play their games on a 68X50 yard field as per the Method©
_ Goal size will be 6X2 yards as per the Method©
_ Ball size is number 4

_ The concept of the sweeper is perfected as the other 3 defenders act as markers.
_ Teach anticipation skills and ability to read the game.
_ The 3 midfielders will be asked to play both offense and defense and work on creativity.
_ 3 attackers, 1 in the center and 2 very wide and act as ‘beacons’ always ready to receive.
